Snapped Back Into It
“When I first found out that I broke my neck after my basketball game, the doctor told
me I might not be able to play basketball ever again. My mom and I went to leave the hospital and we got in the elevator and I hugged her as I started tearing up. I looked at her and said ‘Mom, if I can’t play basketball ever again, I feel like I’ll have no identity or purpose.’ When I would walk around, most people would know me because of basketball. It’s something that is apart of me and at that time, my life revolved around basketball. Once I found this out, I learned to never take anything for granted and what you have in your life is not promised.”
