“I love getting the chance to meet new people from across Michigan and the country.”

“I first joined the FFA when I was in 8th grade. My dad and uncle had been members, and my older brother Noah was in it at the time. I thought it would be a lot of fun so I gave it a try.

Four years later, I am the Caledonia chapter’s president and the reporter for Region V. Running for office has given me the opportunity to have a positive impact on the community and get others involved in FFA. Through competing in leadership skills contests and attending events, I have grown as a leader.

I have gone to both state convention and national convention, once virtually and once in person. At conventions, we get to listen to presentations and workshops while meeting new people. The members of FFA are amazing and I love getting the chance to meet new people from across Michigan and the country.

I hope to obtain my State FFA degree this spring to close out my FFA career as a student. Being a part of FFA has impacted my career plans significantly as after being in this program I have decided to pursue a career in Agriculture Education. Hopefully, I will become an FFA advisor someday. I have learned a wide variety of skills from this program such as public speaking, running a meeting, teamwork, and leadership. These skills will undoubtedly help me in my future career.”
