Bowling Over the Competition with Kate Frass
The girls bowling team is very competitive. They won the regional championship and are one of the top five schools in Michigan. Katelyn Frass was a talented young bowler when she first started on the team as a freshman, and now, as a junior, she is still impressing the crowd; she said the secret to her success is “I just keep trying.” Kate earned her spot on the team having battled other teammates for a starting five spot in the roster. Another junior on the team Peyton Storck stated, “I am proud to see how much Kate has grown throughout the last couple of seasons.” Last season Kate was on the brink of quitting the team due to what she referred to as “team drama.” If not for the support of a couple of her teammates she may not have been on the team today. One of those teammates was senior Jon Reed whose advice to “Just keep your head up and don’t give up trying because that is what I had to do,” after one of the matches last season inspired her to continue. Now Kate is on the starting five and she is determined and ready to help her team win another regional title.
