First, we have the movie The Mitchells vs. The Machines. This is a cartoon movie about a robot apocalypse putting the brakes on their cross-country road trip. Now it is up to the Mitchells also known as the world’s weirdest family to save the human race. Young Katie Mitchell embarks on the cross-country road trip with her proud parents, a young brother, and beloved dog to start her first year at film school. But their plans get interrupted when the world’s electronic devices come to life to stage an uprising. With the help of two friendly robots, the Mitchell family must now come together to save one another and the planet, from the new technological revolution. Erica Verma says, “The Mitchells vs. The machines is a fun, sweet, and smart movie. But.. I believe that it strays just a bit but, all together it is a good movie to watch with the family.” Before the movie was created, the Mitchells team took a trip to Cal Tech to watch a student-led robot battle and talk to the engineers to see what the future of robotics would look like so they could incorporate theatre into their story. This movie is a funny tween and teen-friendly adventure that captions tension between family time and technology. Something that lots of families go through these days.

When French animal-control officer Captain Chantel DuBois picks up their scent, Alex and his company are forced to hide and that is why they end up hitching a ride with the traveling European circus. Alyssa Thome says, “The Madagascar movies are a good movie to laugh at. It is always good to watch it with family and all be able to laugh together.” Madagascar 3 is colorful, has a friendly passion, action-packed, and has good humor. If you like a good cartoon comedy this movie is definitely for you!

Following is the movie I am All Girls. I am All Girls is about a relentless detective finding common ground with a killer systematically targeting the criminal  running a powerful child trafficking ring. This movie was just released on May 14 of 2021 and the genre is a mystery, crime thriller movie from South Africa. This is essentially a revenge story that works out to be very well. Although the subject is tough and brutal, it just makes the story all more important to tell. It shows how children and being hurt, abused, and trafficked all for the sake of money and power. Money and power have a way of helping people get away with the worst actions. This movie spans around several countries is very relevant towards the real world. Because the story is told throughout the movie begins in 1994 and takes place in South Africa, the issue of Apartheid also is playing a part. Not one that is focused on, but more as a reason why some things have been swept under the rug. Although this movie is a mystery, it goes along with things that are happening in the real world to children. This movie expresses what’s happening to children and how sad it is that this is happening to them.

The movie Things Heard and Seen is about an artist relocating to a historic hamlet in the Hudson Valley and begins to suspect that her marriage has threatening darkness, one that rivals her new home’s history. If you like both horror and drama, this movie combo would impress you.
