Upcoming on January 20th, the next President, Joseph R. Biden will be inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States of America as the votes have been certified by congress.

Ahead of the much anticipated day, present U.S. President Donald J. Trump has announced he will not be attending the inauguration; though, Vice President Mike Pence will be in attendance. It is expected that there will be heightened security as local government and law enforcement are preparing in the wake of the U.S. Capitol storming and riots. 

The 2021 Presidential Inaugural festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET and the ceremony will be held at the U.S. Capitol at noon ET. The ceremony will be viewable on ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, PBS, Telemundo, Univision, CNN, and MSNBC on television as well as streamable services online.
